Research firm highlights Cognite’s contributions to Aker BP’s pursuit of operational excellence.
Independent oil and gas operator Aker BP is a finalist for the 2020 Operational Excellence Innovation Award in the Oil & Gas Upstream category, presented by the independent research and consulting firm Verdantix.
The award recognizes companies across industries such as oil and gas, manufacturing, and utilities that have recently invested in innovative operational excellence technology projects.
Cognite has since 2017 been Aker BP’s main technology partner as the operator has pursued an ambitious digitalization agenda in order to increase efficiency and production and reduce downtime and waste.
Aker BP is one of two finalists for the award; the other, Saudi Aramco, is also working with Cognite on a number of projects related to digitalization and sustainability.
The winners of the 2020 Operational Excellence Innovation Awards will be selected by two independent judges and announced on March 3 in London at the Verdantix HSE & OpEx Innovation Summit EMEA.
