Dr. John Markus Lervik is named Technology Leader of the Year for his leadership in the field of industrial digitalization.
The Norwegian trade publication Teknisk Ukeblad, NITO - The Norwegian Society of Engineers and Technologists, and Tekna - The Norwegian Society of Graduate Technical and Scientific Professionals, on Wednesday named Dr. John Markus Lervik, CEO of Cognite, Technology Leader of the Year.
The award was one of several handed out during the Norwegian Tech Awards 2019. An independent jury with representatives from Norwegian industry, universities, governmental organizations, and professional associations selected the winners.
In an article about the award, Teknisk Ukeblad wrote:
- [Lervik] has spent the past three years building Cognite, which he established in partnership with Aker. During this brief period, the company has become a leader in ingesting and analyzing large amounts of industrial data to optimize processes and maintenance routines. With its foundation in Norway’s oil and gas industry, the company is well-positioned to compete internationally in what is known as Industry 4.0.
