Cognite recognized the third year in a row

The NHO association, Abelia, and the  ODA Network named Cognite’s Cathrine Horn Stenstadvold one of Norway’s 50 top women in tech for 2021. This prestigious honor is given to top contributors committed to technology innovation and to those recognized for paving the way for future generations. Cognite has appeared on the list each year consecutively since 2019.

Tech that empowers industry workers

Stenstadvold, a Director of Product Management at Cognite, says her “passion is to create applications that will improve the workday of end-users.” In her role, she leads a team that builds field solutions that radically change the way offshore workers solve problems. Stenstadvold especially enjoys the improvement process and together with a talented team of designers, developers, writers, and domain experts, works to design and develop Cognite’s industrial software products.

“Cathrine shows a solid combination of industrial domain expertise with her experienced product development flair to land a simple solution for a very complex workflow. She inspires the whole of Cognite with a clear value-oriented approach and builds enormous trust with customers,” said Ole Christian Røed who serves as her supervisor and the head of Industry Solutions at Cognite.

“It is a great honor to be recognized as one of Norway's leading women in tech, and representing Cognite in this context makes me both proud and humble,” says Stenstadvold, “Proud because I think putting diversity in tech on the agenda is crucial, and humble as we have so many great women in Cognite that inspire me every day.”

A more inclusive tech world will build solutions that benefit everyone

Kristine Hofer Næss, Chief Customer Officer at Amesto and Chairman of the Board of ODA-Network says, “The fundamental role technology plays has never been clearer. Be it in interaction, health, sustainability or education. The technological solutions for the future must be created by everyone, and this year's figures show that there are still too few tech women in Norway.”

“It is extra important and gratifying that these fantastic 50 role models represent a wide range of opportunities, which we hope will inspire many more girls and women to create the tech solutions we need in the future,” she adds.
