Abelia and ODA have named Cognite's Sigrid Schaanning one of Norway's 50 top women in tech for 2025. The honor is given to women who are committed to technological innovation and are paving the way for future generations.
"It is a great honor to be recognized as one of Norway's leading women in tech, and I am both grateful and humbled to receive this award," says Schaanning, a Senior Software Engineer & Technical Project Leader at Cognite. "I believe this achievement is a result of working at Cognite alongside highly skilled colleagues from whom I learn every day as we explore how robots and AI contribute to a safer industrial work environment and more sustainable industrial future."
The lack of IT expertise is a global problem, and women are still underrepresented in the industry. To encourage more women in Norway to choose jobs in tech, Abelia and ODA’s award spotlights leading women in the industry to inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
